H Configuration Kits for 1/C Shielded Power Cable (15 kV)

TE Connectivity’s Raychem HVSH-1520D-MOD and HVSH-1580D-MOD series modification
kits are used in conjunction with HVSY-1520S and HVSY-1580D-MOD series wye splice kits.
This combination provides a heat-shrinkable 15 kV system that accommodates “H-configuration”
connections for single-conductor power cables This kit will accom modate both crimped connectors
(copper conductor only) and soldered connectors.

These splices can be used for submersible or direct burial applications and have been tested to
meet the performance requirements of IEEE 404

HVSY Wye Splice Kit Options Paired with Appropriate HVSH-MOD in Order to make "H-Configuration" Rated for use at 15 kV

HVSY-1522S is supplied for a Main Poly Conductor Size ranging #2-4/0 with the Tap ranging the same size.The Insulation Diameter for the Main and Tap is a min. of 17 mm and a max. of 27 mm (A/E). The Max Connector Length is 75 mm (D). HVSY-1522S is to be paired with HVSH-1522-MOD to make an "H-configuration".

HVSY-1523S is supplied for a Main Poly Conductor Size ranging 250-750 with the Tap ranging #2-750.The Insulation Diameter for the Main has a min. of 24 mm and a max. of 37 mm (A). The Insulation Diameter for the Tap has a min. of 17 mm with a max. of 37 mm (E). The Max Connector Length is 

90 mm (D). HVSY-1523S is to be paired with HVSH-1523-MOD to make an "H-configuration".

HVSY-1582D is supplied for a PILC/poly Conductor Size with the Main and Tap ranging #2-4/0. The PILC/Poly Insulation Diameter for the Main and Tap have a Min.-Max. range of 17-27 mm (A/E). The Maximum Connector Length of 75 mm (D).HVSY-1582D is to be paired with HVSH-1582-MOD to make an "H-configuration".

HVSY-1583D is supplied for a PILC/poly Conductor Size with the Main ranging 250-750 and the tap ranging #2-750. The PILC/Poly Insulation Diameter for the Main has a Min.-Max. range of 24-37 mm (A) and 17-37 mm for the Tap (E). The Maximum Connector Length of 90 mm (D). HVSY-1583D is to be paired with HVSH-1583D-MOD to make an "H-configuration".
